📅 Islamic Year: 53 B.H.

📅 Gregorian Year: 571 CE (Approximate)

📍 Month: Rabi’ al-Awwal

📆 Day: Monday

Event Details:

The birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ occurred on a Monday in the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal, without any disagreement among scholars. This is confirmed in Sahih Muslim, where Abu Qatadah al-Ansari ﵁ reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about fasting on Mondays. He replied:

"That is the day I was born, and the day I was sent (as a prophet), or on which revelation was sent to me." (Sahih Muslim)

🔹 Ibn Abbas ﵄ stated:

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was born in the Year of the Elephant."

🔹 Khalifah ibn Khayyat said:

"It is unanimously agreed that he ﷺ was born in the Year of the Elephant."

This year coincides with the famous incident when Abraha, the Abyssinian ruler, attempted to destroy the Kaaba, and Allah sent flocks of birds (Ababil) against his army.

🕊️ Prophetic Narration on His Birth:

Ibn Ishaq reported that some companions asked the Prophet ﷺ about himself, and he replied:

"I am the answered supplication of my father Ibrahim, and the glad tidings of Isa (Jesus). My mother saw a light emanate from her that illuminated the palaces of Sham." (Authenticated by Albani)
